z/OS System Programmer

Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a z/OS System Programmer for one of our largest financial clients in Chandler, AZ.
Designs, engineers, and maintains z/OS platform tools and services aligned with enterprise architecture standards, governance, and security policies
Provides subject-matter expertise in z/OS infrastructure, supporting application, infrastructure, and engineering teams with technical consultation and best practices
Translates business and operational requirements into z/OS technical designs, deployment blueprints, standards, and runbooks
Develops and enhances automation, scripts, and tooling to eliminate manual, repetitive tasks and improve system reliability and efficiency
Creates reusable templates and playbooks to standardize system builds, configuration, deployment, and ongoing operations
Evaluates and validates third‑party mainframe software and tools for enterprise adoption, ensuring fit-for-purpose and compliance
