Overview

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Year 1/2 Teacher to work at a primary school in Clacton‑on‑Sea starting from September 2026. This is a maternity cover position for a minimum of one term.

Contract and Position Details

• Location – Clacton‑on‑Sea, Essex
• Position – Year 1/2 Teacher
• Start date – September 2026
• Duration – Until the end of the autumn term (December 2026) with a view to extension
• Contract type – Long‑term
• Full time – Yes
• Minimum rate – £165 per day
• Hours – 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday‑Friday (term time only)

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required
• Ideally at least 1 year of teaching experience
• Satisfactory teaching references
• Enhanced DBS check completed (Subscribed to online update service)
