Yard Associate

Job Overview

A Yard Associate assist the lumber yard crew, fills customer orders and prepares them for shipment in a fast paced and customer focused business. Your job responsibilities include organizing orders for outgoing transportation, and monitoring safety conditions. You might also be assigned some delivery duties as required.

We’re seeking an experienced Yard Associate that has Lumber/Building Supply experience, plus a valid forklift ticket.

Responsibilities

• Be active in customer awareness and attending to their needs
• Assist in building customer orders for pick up when asked
• Assisting the other Yard Crew in their duties
• Assist in organizing Lumber and Yard Products
• Checking order paperwork and piece count before loading
• Communicating with Lumber Desk, Yard Associates and Dispatcher about product movement
