Workshop Leading Hand

A busy, fast paced service workshop in Morningside is seeking an experienced Workshop Leading Hand Co-Ordinator to help steer daily operations and support the Workshop Supervisor.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a trade-qualified professional, ideally with a Mechanical Fitting background, who understands the rhythm of a service department and can keep the wheels turning smoothly under pressure.
The Role You will be the bridge between the workshop floor, management and customers, coordinating workflow while managing personalities in a diverse and sensitive team environment.

You will:
• Coordinate daily workshop activities and job flow
• Work closely with the Workshop Supervisor
• Liaise directly with customers regarding service jobs
• Assist with quoting and job costing
• Manage staff performance and team dynamics
• Ensure deadlines are met in a high-volume environment
