Lifting Equipment Workshop / Inspection Engineer – Tipton

Pertemps West Bromwich are recruiting on behalf of our valued client for a Workshop/Inspection Engineer to join their specialist lifting equipment team based in Tipton.

About the Role

This is a hands‑on, technical role where you’ll be inspecting, maintaining and repairing a wide range of lifting gear - including hoists, chain blocks and bespoke lifting equipment used across multiple industries.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Inspecting & testing lifting gear in line with LOLER regulations
• Identifying and recording equipment damage and completing service reports
• Working to high safety and housekeeping standards
• Supporting colleagues in the workshop and occasionally assisting with driving/deliveries
• Communicating clearly with your Line Manager and customers when needed
