We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to manage the full cycle Canadian payroll in a unionized environment. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing in alignment with applicable legislation, collective agreements, and internal policies. The Payroll Specialist will play a vital role in system transitions, including the implementation of a new HRIS (Workday), and deliver advanced technical, analytical, and compliance support.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate complex, full cycle Canadian payroll for a large, unionized environment.
  • Maintain payroll schedules to ensure compliance with legal, contractual, and organizational deadlines.
  • Accurately process statutory deductions, pension contributions (HOOPP), and other earnings/deductions.
