Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12/ Matric
  • Valid Winding Engine Driver Certificate of Competency
  • Onsetter/ Banksman Certificate of Competency
  • Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness for mines
  • Computer literate
  • Valid First Aid

Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience operating a Winding Engine in Shafts and Equipping
  • Proven experience in the transportation of personnel, material, and rock through a shaft system
  • Experience in conducting a pre-shift inspections and reporting equipment defects
  • Equipment monitoring, fault identification and good record keeping
