Wetlab technician is responsible for performing routine sample decompositions and leaches on geological materials in accordance with client work order instructions and laboratory quality guidelines and procedures.

  • Perform a variety of decomposition and leaching methods as per SGS’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). These will include acid digests and others as required
  • Clean labware and equipment 
  • Make basic reagents as necessary
  • Provides feedback to supervisors and/or group leader regarding any issues encountered during procedures. unanticipated reactions, loss of samples etc
  • Verify and adjust calibrations on a variety of lab equipment including dispensers, pipettes, balances and other.
  • Ensure that work order documentation is complete in every respect and QC results are entered into SLIMS as necessary.
