Elk Valley Resources is looking for a Welding Specialist to support our mining operations in Sparwood, B.C. This full-time position offers a unique 4x4 schedule and a chance to work on heavy equipment repairs.
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will leverage your Red Seal Welder Certification to maintain, troubleshoot, and fabricate mining equipment. You'll ensure compliance with safety standards while applying advanced welding techniques, including FCAW and GMAW. Your skills will contribute significantly to the efficiency of our operations and safety of all personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Repair and fabricate mining structures and equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery
• Participate actively in safety programs
• Employ various welding processes for effective solutions
• Collaborate with the team on projects
