Welding Lab Technician

Organization, maintenance, and daily operations of the Welding and Mechanical labs including engineering technology laboratories and the Support Center. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The organization and maintenance of all tool cribs. Operation of hand and motorized lift trucks to receive/ship lab materials. Operation of band saws, shears and other cutting devices to support course activities. Lab set-up and tear-down for classes for all labs and instructors. Daily coordination with the department chair(s) and coordinator(s) for classroom and lab needs. Responsible for mechanical and electrical repair and troubleshooting of welding and industrial and related equipment including fork truck, welders, lathes, shear, brakes, mills, and periodic maintenance of the filtration systems.
