This role focuses on performing high-quality MIG welding and fabrication on mild steel components, working from detailed blueprints to build structural frames used in demanding applications. You will handle the full welding process from setup and measurement through cutting, fitting, welding, and finishing, contributing to a growing operation that values craftsmanship over simple production welding.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform MIG welding on mild steel ranging from 12 gauge to 1 inch thickness in flat, vertical down, and overhead positions.
+ Set up welding equipment and workstations independently, including Miller welders, to meet job specifications.
+ Read and interpret blueprints to understand dimensions, weld symbols, and fabrication requirements.
+ Measure, cut, bend, and build frames according to prints, ensuring accuracy and structural integrity.
