ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS AND PURPOSE

This position is an 8-10 week temporary one and will be utilized to provide a training opportunity for young students to be exposed to ship repair.

  • POSITION DEMANDS (EDUCATION/TRAINING)

    • Successful candidates must be currently enrolled (full-time) in a four-year college or university and be 18 years or older at the start of the internship. Preference is given to seniors and juniors as well as those:

  • Enrolled in a Maritime College or Engineering Program,

  • Who have served aboard a ship at sea or are in a program focused on Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or other maritime related disciplines

    • Must be available for 8-10 consecutive weeks.

    POSITION DEMANDS (REQUIRED EXPERIENCE)

  • Ability to understand ship specifications, technical drawings, etc. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
