Purpose of Position
To manage the day to day running of the Company Workshops, including compliance with legislation, health and safety, budgetary control, productivity control and management of workshop employees. This may involve liaising with suppliers, insurance companies and government bodies etc.
Key Task & Responsibilities
Cost effective control of workshop resources including responsibility for production, and implementation of workshop financial plansImproving workshop productivity by the evaluating and setting of maintenance standards and the use of training to improve workshop skill levelsMaintaining and improving of workshop quality standards, to meet all current and new legislationResponsibility for workshop Health and Safety issues, including workshop staff and visitorsStrategic planning for the workshop function, including development of existing and new workshops
