Job Description

GENERAL STATEMENT
Working in strong collaboration with faculty to achieve curriculum objectives and under the general guidance of the Chair, but without supervision, the Visual Arts Technologist supervises and assists students in safe and secure classroom, studio and workshop environments. Also demonstrates various technical processes and proper equipment operation and provides other program support functions as needed.
TYPICAL DUTIES
• Maintains security of studio and laboratory areas and equipment;
• Assists faculty in ordering, receiving, storage and distribution of supplies and equipment;
• Assists in accounting and inventory of supplies and equipment;
• Maintains booking schedules of studio, laboratory and equipment;
• Assists in the maintenance of clean and safe working conditions, including the classrooms, studios and storage areas;
