Title: Visitor Assistant
Location: Battle Abbey, Battle, East Sussex
Salary: £12.90 per hour
Hours: 16-24 hours per week, weekends and Bank Holidays
Contract: Fixed Term (14 July – 31 August 2026)
Role Summary: As a Visitor Assistant you will help create an engaging visitor experience at Battle Abbey by welcoming guests, providing information, promoting membership and onsite attractions, ensuring the site is safe and accessible, and supporting a team of staff and volunteers.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming visitors and explaining the site’s history and attractions.
- Providing information on membership, events, and other offerings.
- Ensuring the site remains accessible, safe and well presented.
- Supporting retail, food and beverage or general management activities as needed.
- Working weekends, Bank Holidays and during busy periods.
