Job Description
- Collaborate with the director, creative producer, art designer and graphics designer to discuss and understand the production's vision
- Review raw material to determine which shots to use in the final film
- Trim and rearrange footage to enhance the video's overall quality and flow
- Create the rough draft and share it with the director for feedback
- Manipulate and edit video and film footage using modern editing techniques and tools
- Maintain continuity while moving shots
- Apply graphics, music, sound effects, dialogue and other special effects at appropriate places in the film to add scene value
- Colour-correct the video to improve the viewer's visual experience
- Ensure that the edited film follows a logical sequence
- Communicate with the director, assistant directors and production team throughout the project
