Program Overview

NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program offers final‑year veterinary technician students real‑world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. Students work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs to develop clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology, and more. The program enhances communication abilities with medical teams and clients, preparing students for a successful career as an RVT.

Program Details

  • Duration: 2 to 8 weeks, tailored to fit the student’s schedule and career goals.
  • Eligibility: Students enrolled in an accredited VT program in Canada who are completing their final practicum in their final year.
  • Stipend: Eligible students may receive a stipend to help with travel expenses, allowing focus on learning without financial worries.
