Veterinary Technician Practicum

Overview

Our Veterinary Technologists play a pivotal role in supporting Veterinarians to deliver exceptional medical care to our patients. We offer practicum experiences for final-year veterinary technician students in a hybrid hospital environment combining general practice and emergency care.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs to develop clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology, and more.
• Enhance communication abilities with medical teams and clients to prepare for a successful RVT career.

Program Details

• VT Practicum Program offered by NVA Canada for final-year veterinary technology students.
• Practicums range from two to eight weeks, scheduled to fit career goals.
• Eligibility: enrolled in an accredited VT program in Canada and completing their final practicum in their final year.
