Registered Veterinary Technician, RVT Hospital: Applecross Veterinary Hospital

Location: Nanaimo, B.C.

Employment Type: Full-time

Compensation: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on experience. Signing bonus available. Reach out for more information.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals during surgical and dental procedures.
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal) and perform diagnostic testing as required.
  • Take and process diagnostic radiographs and assist with imaging procedures.
  • Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients, including monitoring recovery and patient comfort.
