Job Summary

Banfield Pet Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Assistant to provide critical support in our hospitals. The assistant will work closely with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to deliver quality care, educate clients on pet wellness, and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for pets, clients, and the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with patient care, monitoring, and procedures as allowed by state laws
  • Maintain patient flow and support veterinarians and technicians with daily tasks
  • Safely restrain pets for exams and procedures
  • Set up and clean exam rooms, treatment areas, and surgical suites
  • Educate clients on preventive care and promote Optimum Wellness Plans
  • Collect patient histories and maintain accurate medical records
