The Application Developer will assess and modernize a critical public safety application by analyzing an existing VB.NET solution and designing its replacement using modern C#/.NET technologies. Responsibilities include documenting current system architecture, identifying business-critical functionality, eliminating technical debt, and developing a scalable, secure, and maintainable solution. The developer will collaborate closely with Public Safety Applications staff and business stakeholders to validate requirements, evaluate risks, and define implementation strategies. This role requires hands-on development, integration support, technical documentation, architecture planning, and ongoing communication to ensure a successful modernization effort within a mission-critical environment.
