About the role

The Vacation Student – Rock Mechanics role offers an exceptional opportunity to learn and develop skills related to engineering, specifically towards geotechnical engineering with coordination activities in mine development design and layouts, stope design and layouts, scheduling, ventilation, and surveying activities.


The position will be on a 5/2/4/3 – 9.5 hour shifts schedule and will be based residentially in Red Lake, Ontario. 

The compensation range for this position is $29.00 - $32.00 per hour.

Key result areas in this role include:

  • Learning Software – primarily Deswik

  • Gain exposure to underground environment and participate in daily tasks with technical and operational personnel

  • Actively participate in regular safety inspections and safety meetings

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
