About the role


In the Vacation Student – Mining Engineer (Short Term Planning) role, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting mine planning activities that help deliver safe and efficient production outcomes. Working alongside experienced engineers and operational teams, you'll contribute to the development and execution of short-term mining plans.

Some of your work may include:

  • Assist with daily, weekly and monthly mine planning activities

  • Support the development of production schedules and forecasts

  • Contribute to drill and blast planning and reporting

  • Monitor mining performance against plan and identify improvement opportunities

  • Assist with data analysis, reconciliation and production reporting

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across mining operations

  • Work closely with engineering, geology and operations teams to deliver operational outcomes
