Utility Operator

TheUtility Technician ensures proper operation of all auxiliary systems in support
of production operations. The Utility
Mechanic will support a rotating 24/7 shift rotation.

Responsibilities

Serve as the licensed on-shift Utility Technician ensuring proper operation of low- and high-pressure boilers as well as refrigeration plant. Report issues and conditions to the Utilities Engineer.
Conduct chemistry analysis/adjustments and blowdowns of the steam generating system.
Document boiler conditions hourly in logbooks
Support the duty Shift Leader and his team by taking routine logs and performing adjustments to maintain
Compressed air and air-dryer systems
Cooling tower systems
Waste Water systems
Refrigerated ammonia systems
Nitrogen generation systems
Plant water systems and boiler feed systems
Periodic inspection of fire systems
Perform small equipment or component maintenance.
