Job Description
Key responsibilities
- Directly manage all department staff including production workers, supervisors, and service hands assigning tasks in line with production plans and monitoring performance.
- Execute daily and weekly production plans to meet output, quality, and delivery requirements, ensuring efficient use of labour and equipment.
- Ensure production lines are correctly manned and balanced, including adjustments for absenteeism as guided by the time study department.
- Address production variances and disruptions including shortages, damages, rejects, and technical issues with corrective action within 24 hours.
- Enforce housekeeping, OHS compliance, PPE usage, and waste separation standards across the department at all times.
- Monitor in-process and final output quality in close collaboration with the QA team to reduce offline rejections and damages.
