Job Description
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support related to the overall health and maintenance of the UNIX server environments
- Perform monitoring of server & system health and status via monitoring tools
- Participate in rotational on-call support, including off-hours server administration and problem resolution & escalation
- Performance and capacity management of the server environments
- Assist in change control implementations
- Responsible for resolving issues and mitigating risks, and escalating issues/risks when appropriate.
- Provides backup support for peers as required
- Applies knowledge of company policies and standard practices to resolve problems.
- Analyzes issues and uses judgment to make decisions.
- Escalates non-standard problems or issues
- Applicant must be flexible and willing to work off hours during the week and weekend shifts
