Your Opportunity:
Within the Women’s Health program, the labour and delivery unit aim to attract and retain high quality unit clerks. Under limited supervision, the Unit Clerk is responsible for performing clerical, receptionist and AD&T responsibilities for the unit. These include performing admission, discharge and transfer functions in Connect Care, answering telephone calls, the patient call bell system, and monitoring of unit and patient access. As the key point of first contact for the inpatient and outpatient areas the Unit Clerk plays a key role in fostering an effective team environment on the unit; the Unit Clerk is instrumental in facilitating communication between nursing and other health disciplines, departments, patients and families, and in maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
