Key duties and responsibilities

Main Scope

  • To implement Scor’s underwriting and claims policy and principles and ensures risks are assumed on a sound and profitable basis.
  • Ensure that the underwriting and claims conforms with SCOR Global Life underwriting and claims guidelines 

  • Underwriting proposals within defined authority

  • Referring cases beyond authority to senior underwriter and Head of Underwriting & Claims.

  • Conduct audits of the underwriting practices of the direct companies.

  • Provide timely claims assessment support for clients.

  • Involvement in treaty preparation.

  • Client servicing and training with respect to underwriting and claims

  • Underwriting and Claims MIS

  • Work closely with business development team to enhance client relationships and new business opportunities
