Position Title: Underground Utility Inspector Location: South Carolina Employment Type: Full-Time Duration- 3-6 months Position Summary The Underground Utility Inspector oversees installation of stormwater, sewer, potable water, reclaimed water, and fire-line systems. This role ensures compliance with municipal utility standards, trench safety requirements, pressure testing protocols, and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities Inspect installation of underground utilities including storm drains, sanitary sewer, water mains, services, and fire lines. Verify pipe bedding, compaction, and backfill meet specifications. Oversee manhole, valve, hydrant, and structure installation. Monitor trench safety compliance, shoring, sloping, and OSHA requirements. Witness pressure tests, mandrel testing, vacuum tests, deflection tests, and disinfection procedures.
