How the role will make an impact:

Lead the accounting team and ensure that overall financial control for the Quanex Access Solutions function, reporting systems operate accurately and provide reliable, fair, accurate, relevant, timely and understandable financial information to the stakeholders.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Maintain and monitor all financial control systems to assure continued compliance with Quanex policies, generally accepted accounting principles to include Sarbanes-Oxley.
• Provide leadership and supervision for the accounting/finance department, encompassing duties such as account analysis, cost analysis and potential engagement with treasury regarding banking and administration concerns.
• Coach, develop and mentor the accounting team to assure continuous performance improvements are achieved.
