Job Description
Miller Waste Systems is seeking a full-time Truck & Transport Technician to maintain and repair waste collection vehicles in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This role emphasizes diagnosing complex systems and conducting preventive maintenance.
In this permanent position, you will report to the District Equipment Manager and work Monday to Thursday, 2 PM to 12 AM, and Friday, 2 PM to 6 PM. Your key responsibilities include mentoring apprentices, ensuring fleet reliability, and adhering to safety standards, while maintaining a clean environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Adhere to Miller Waste safety protocols
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and hydraulic systems
• Perform PM and safety inspections on vehicles
• Mentor and train apprentice technicians
• Maintain a clean shop environment

• Valid Journeyperson Certificate and Driver’s Licence
