Embark on a transformative journey as a Tripper Apprentice at Camp Kandalore, located in the stunning Algonquin Highlands. Join a passionate team for hands-on training in outdoor guiding and youth counseling this summer.
This position combines two months of immersive experiences: one month as a Counsellor for campers aged 6-15 and another focused in the Trip Department. You will learn essential skills in outdoor adventures, risk management, and effective mentorship tailored for young campers during canoe trips.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and mentor campers aged 7-15
• Facilitate engaging camp programs and activities
• Lead canoe trips from 2-3 days in length
• Participate in all-camp events actively
• Document trip details and evaluations accurately
Requirements:
• Experience in camping or outdoor settings
• Valid Standard First-Aid with CPR-C certification
• Bronze Cross Lifeguard certification or higher
