This position will report to the Dispatch Manager.
Relocation is not eligible for this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Dispatch customer delivered loads across the US. Serve as dispatch operations liaison between Hormel enterprise and motor carrier partners.Coordinate freight transportation based upon ship location.Analyze order quantity, destination, weight, delivery date and product type to determine consolidation and efficiency via transportation management systems.Source carriers based upon cost, service reliability, equipment availability and past performance history.Create solutions to challenges that effect on time delivery to customers and distribution networks.Able to work overtime when required and potential weekend rotation.Miscellaneous projects as assigned by ...
