Transport Planner

The Transport Planner is responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing daily transportation activities to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely delivery of goods. This role acts as the central communication point between carriers, warehouses, suppliers, and customers, ensuring smooth execution of all transport operations.

Tasks and Responisbilities

• Create deliveries & shipments for every outbound activity
• Calculate loading meters and timely book transport to ensure a timely delivery
• Schedule transport on requested loading date and inform customer about the ETA of the shipment
• Follow up very closely the status of the shipments to load:
  • Content of the shipment, will all materials be available on the moment of loading?  If not, take action together with colleagues of production/purchase
  • Arrival of the driver, if a driver is too late, take action in orde...
