POSITION TYPE FULL-TIME, 37.5 HOURS/WEEK

Position Summary: This is a new role being introduced. The Transitional Housing Case Worker will support participants of all backgrounds who are living in our transitional housing for women, gender diverse folks, and children who are exiting situations of violence. They will support people on their healing journey, through one-on-one support, case coordination, program delivery, system navigation, advocacy and referrals to relevant resources.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide individual support and ongoing case management to people who have been impacted by violence to set goals and create plans to reach those goals

  • To empower people to advocate for themselves and to advocate on their behalf

  • To assist people with finding permanent housing and connecting them to income supports

  • To provide information, referrals and system navigation to participants and their families
