TRAINING SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST for the Material Handling Equipment Program in the PRODUCTION ENGINEERING & FACILITIES DIVISION (Code 986), PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will design and develop complex training curricula and materials, incorporating advanced instructional methods such as scenario-based training, simulations, and technology-enhanced tools. You will manage the Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) training program at PNSY, including Detachment San Diego and Temporary Duty Locations. You will provide input on Powered Industrial Vehicle design, performance, and work processes for program improvements. You will Incorporate lessons learned from Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) mishap investigations, near-miss reports, Team Learning Sessions, and other incident reports to improve safety and effectiveness of the program.
