Trainee Behaviour Support Assistant

A specialist SEN provision in Peterlee is recruiting for a Trainee Behaviour Support Assistant to support pupils with SEMH and Autism needs.

The school provides a structured and therapeutic learning environment where pupils are supported to develop confidence, emotional regulation and positive engagement with education.

The Role:

• Supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
• Assisting with classroom routines and learning activities
• Building positive relationships with vulnerable learners
• Encouraging engagement and emotional resilience
• Supporting restorative and positive behaviour approaches

Ideal candidates may come from:

• Sports coaching
• Support work
• Psychology or education backgrounds
