Job Description
Main job:
Direct vehicles on construction sites, manage pedestrian/vehicle interactions, and keep traffic flowing safely in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
1. Traffic control: Guide HGVs, cranks, diggers using hand signals or radios
2. Safety: Manage pedestrian exclusion zones, stop/start traffic, spot hazards
3. Checks: Verify vehicles are secure, loads are covered
4. Teamwork: Liaise with site managers, plant operators
5. PPE: Wear hi-vis, hard hat, etc.
Requirements – UK 2026
- Quals: CITB Traffic Marshal card (or equiv)
- Experience: 1-2 years on construction sites
- Skills: Good communication, spatial awareness
- Certs: CSCS card (labourer)

- AM: Briefing, check kit
- Work: Direct vehicles, manage movements
- PM: Report issues, tidy area
