Summary About the Position: Serves as a Traffic Management Specialist for the Army Transportation Command as a technical expert on the safe and secure transportation and storage of all Department of Defense domestic freight. Responsibilities Advise senior leaders domestic transportation systems policies, regulations and procedures. Design domestic transportation training (in-person and virtual) for shippers, carriers, and stakeholders. Evaluate operations to recommend improvements for shipping efficiency, timelines, and cost savings. Advise leadership on domestic surface transportation and participates in working groups to maintain global readiness. Identify training needs based on performance metrics and manages a public webpage to house instructional materials. Draft long-range plans and updates to critical publications to ensure authoritative guidance is current and aligned with program goals.
