Responsibilities

• Conduct regular preventative / predictive maintenance on material handling equipment (MHE) (e.g., conveyors, gear boxes rollers, drive unit, hydraulic and pneumatics systems, etc.) to maintain equipment in a good state of repair in compliance with health and safety standards.
• Diagnose and repair material handling equipment mechanical or electrical failures to ensure equipment is operating with minimal downtime.
• Inspect and monitor material handling equipment and related facilities.
• Prepare and maintain reports (e.g., safety, operational).
• Coordinate and document work orders in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Qualifications

• Completion of specialized courses normally taught in community or recognized specialty colleges, approximately three academic years.
