Position: Trades Worker I – Permanent – Hopedale, NL – 12 months

Location: Amos Comenius Memorial School, 1 Nanuk Hill, P.0. Box 10, Hopedale, A0P 1G0

Duties

Perform skilled maintenance and repair work in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and electronic trades at or near the journeyperson level. Employees perform a variety of maintenance, repair and alteration work generally across more than one trade, to bring structures, systems and equipment back into use or keep them operating efficiently. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school supplemented by a one-year post-secondary course in building, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical trade.
• Applicants must have experience in a mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or carpentry trade.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered.
