Trackmaster

Position Purpose

Ensure safe and affordable railway operation by executing activities and directing resources related to track maintenance manual. Optimization of a work group doing and maintenance, rehabilitation and repairs of track infrastructure over a specific geographical area to prescribed quality and safety standards.

Position Outputs

• Receive plan maintenance orders (based on the field inspection conducted) from the track inspector on the conditions of the track and other parts of the track to determine if there are any defects or deviations from the maintenance standards and norms.
• Responsible for the execution of supervision of the track maintenance according to the maintenance plan and train/operational plan.
• Controls and issues detonators (Classified to Explosives Act) to ensure compliance to explosives act and operational safety procedures.
