Toolmaker

Minimum Requirements: Trade qualification as a Toolmaker (Red Seal or equivalent preferred) 35 years experience in a toolroom or manufacturing environment (plastics industry advantage) Strong knowledge of injection moulds and plastic manufacturing processes CNC machining and conventional machining skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Competent in precision measuring instruments Attention to detail and high precision work Problem-solving and fault-finding ability Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Team collaboration and communication skills Key Responsibilities: Manufacture and assemble precision tools, moulds, dies, jigs, and fixtures according to engineering drawings. Interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications. Use manual and CNC machining equipment to produce high-precision components.
