Tool Engineer

Summary (About this Position)

A Tool Engineer involves designing, developing and maintaining specialized tools for, in this case, efficient molding and stamping of components for Electrical Center manufacturing. You will have an opportunity to work closely with Product and Manufacturing Engineers and vendors to understand requirements and implement effective solutions, while focusing on improving & reducing costs and ensuring product quality.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Tool design, development and procurement
• Analyze existing tools/processes for better efficiency, cost reduction or quality improvements through tool modifications
• Develop tool cost estimates
• Support manufacturing plants and cost reduction efforts
• Document and communicate tooling projects, information and instructions/procedures
• Ensure compliance with customer specific requirements
