Tier 2 Network Engineer

We are a growing Cape Town–based ISP and FNO operating a live production backbone with multi-homed upstream's and active peering. We are looking for a technically strong Tier 2 Network Engineer to join our core network team.

This is not a monitoring role. You will work directly on routing infrastructure, handle real escalations, and troubleshoot production network incidents.

Role Responsibilities

• Handle escalations from Tier 1 NOC
• Perform deep troubleshooting and structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Operate and optimize routing environments
• Support controlled changes and maintenance windows
• Assist with network stability and performance improvement initiatives
• Restore services within defined SLA targets
