Location: Cape Town (Hybrid – Onsite Required)
Industry: ISP & Fiber Network Operator
We are a growing Cape Town–based ISP and FNO operating a live production backbone with multi-homed upstream's and active peering. We are looking for a technically strong Tier 2 Network Engineer to join our core network team.
This is not a monitoring role. You will work directly on routing infrastructure, handle real escalations, and troubleshoot production network incidents.
Role Responsibilities
Handle escalations from Tier 1 NOC
Perform deep troubleshooting and structured Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Operate and optimize routing environments
Support controlled changes and maintenance windows
Assist with network stability and performance improvement initiatives
Restore services within defined SLA targets
You must be comfortable working within a team while owning issues independently and making technically sound decisions under pressure.
