Job Description

Ticket checking staff, also known as Ticket Collectors (TCs) or Travelling Ticket Examiners (TTEs), have several responsibilities, including:Checking tickets: TTEs and TCs check tickets for passengers in train compartments and on platforms.Ensuring valid tickets: TCs and TTEs make sure that passengers have valid tickets and fine those who don't.Maintaining records: TTEs maintain records of reservations and other information.Guiding passengers: TTEs help passengers find their seats and guide them on the train.Collecting fares: TTEs collect fares and supplementary charges.Assisting passengers: TTEs help passengers with luggage, food, and other amenities.Maintaining cleanliness: TTEs ensure the cleanliness of the coaches.Reporting: TTEs report for duty at the station and sign on and off registers.Wearing uniforms: TTEs wear clean uniforms with badges, name plates, and numbers.
