Job Description

  • Assists the Second Engineer in the operation and maintenance of engine room machinery and systems.
  • Responsible for specific machinery (often boilers, auxiliary engines, fuel systems, purifiers, compressors).
  • Carries out regular inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of assigned equipment.
  • Ensures safe operations and compliance with international maritime regulations
  • Valid STCW III/1 Certificate of Competency (OIC – Engineer Watchkeeping).
  • Knowledge of engine room machinery and auxiliary systems.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fit for duty under STCW and MLC standards; proficient in English.
