Job Description

We are looking for a motivated student (m/f/d) for thesis (Bachelor/Master) in the area of time series databases to support our Cloud Applications team in Ulm.
You will develop a concept and implementation of a data pipeline to store time series data in the context of a fleet management application.

Your responsibilities

  • Research and evaluation of different time series database technologies with respect to the product requirements and performance-related aspects

  • Development of a performance-optimized data model for storing machine telemetry data

  • Implementation of a backend service for storing incoming telemetry data in a suitable time series database using the developed data model

  • Development of a strategy for migrating existing time series data to the new data model
