Therapy Assistant

:As a Recreation Therapy Assistant, you will provide Person Centered Care with direction from the LPN, Recreation Therapist and Care Manager by performing a variety of support duties associated with the provision of Recreation Services in accordance with set guidelines and practices. Providing hands-on assistance, cueing, and leadership in a variety of therapeutic recreational activities. These may include pet therapy, computers, and horticulture. Planning and leading activities, special events and creating monthly recreational calendars in collaboration with the Recreation Therapist. The successful candidate will be organized, Put People First and be willing to succeed by incorporating the CapitalCare Values into their work. Education: Graduation from a recognized Recreation Therapy Diploma program (or equivalent) is required. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
